Project: Plundering Pirates Pinch a Prize.

Drop a line here with mission ideas you would like to see. When we see an ORIGINAL mission idea we like, we get a hold of the person who submitted it and work with them to plan the mission and further develop it.

Please do not suggest any more FREEZES. We are about way more originality then that... we've done one, and moved on.

Project: Plundering Pirates Pinch a Prize.

Things we would need:
-Pirate costumes
-Treasure chest
-fake treasure to fill the chest
-shovels
-cameras, both still and video

People we would need:
2-5 people to dig a hole in the sand the night before and bury the treasure.
1+ people to stand guard over the spot during the day before the pirates arrive. A simple towel or chair on the sand should suffice.
As many people filming as we can get. Videographers would blend in with the crowd, of course, both filming the action and people's reaction.
3-7 pirates. It would be imperative that these people stay in character. Anyone with experience in theater or improve would be welcome. Even a high school drama class. Pirates must also be prepared for physical stress (they would be in full costume under the hot sun digging several feet into the sand) Pirates would be expected to speak in pirate lingo, of course. (arrr, Matey, shiver-me-timbers)

Things to discuss: What beach would be the best to do this at? What time and day would be ideal? Where can we get ahold of some pirate costumes and gear? etc.

There is a SoCal pirate reenactors group that does ren faires and such, so getting authentic looking/acting pirates may not be an issue. If you like, I can get in contact with a few...

As for where, I would suggest Mission Beach since parking isn't as big of an issue as at other beaches. My other suggestion would be Torrey Pines for the same reason.
